I allready had the "default" settings in BIOS so this diden't affect anything really, but the wireless started working directly after a reboot. The instructions found at http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/bigarch/archive-eighth/msg03863.html work for Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04.
